During our Members Meeting 2023, 11 members presented their advocacy initiatives where they shared their goals, projects and accomplishments. With an overwhelming number of votes, the best initiative was for Athena.Women Against Cancer. Read more about their initiatives below.

Athena.Women Against Cancer is a non-governmental organization established in 2017 to advocate for the rights of cancer patients and that unites cancer patients from all over Ukraine.

Their mission is equal access to treatment for all cancer patients in Ukraine. 

Since February 2018

Live broadcasts of ‘’AthenaLIVE” an educational platform both for patients and doctors.

Since October 2022

Hotline for patients with cancer Patient Has Right: patients with cancer can call the hotline to get answers to their questions about treatment and state-guaranteed medical services.

December. 2022 – June 2023

NGS-testing for Ukrainian patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

Athena.Women Against Cancer has not stopped its activities during the military aggression by the Russian Federation. 

Advocacy of the budget for the cancer treatment, inclusion of drugs for the lung cancer treatment in the nomenclature of public procedure.
