This year’s European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress will be a hybrid event and will take place from 9 to 13 September. There will be an in person event in Milan, combined with virtual online attendance. Delegates of both the in person and virtual event will be able to attend presentations and seminars covering a variety of topics in lung health, science and medicine.

Registration for the Congress is now open and there are some free virtual registrations available for PAG members to give access to the most recent scientific findings across all lung diseases. These places are limited and will be subject to the following criteria:

• Be a member of an ELF Patient Advisory Group and not a healthcare professional
• Be based in Europe
• Able to attend online sessions considered relevant by other PAG members and report back on these sessions
• Willing and able to post about the event on social media, if a social media user.

If they receive more registrations than there are free places then they will decide based on ensuring a balance of attendees across different countries and representing different PAGs.

• Travel bursaries – A limited number of travel bursaries of €350 or €700 are also available to support national patient organisations in Europe to attend the Congress. The deadline to apply for a bursary is Wednesday 17 May 2023.

Registration for Patient Organisation Networking Day and travel bursaries

The European Respiratory Society is pleased to continue its offer of free day registration for all participants of the ELF Patient Organisation Networking Day on Saturday 9 September from 10:30 to 16:30 CEST.

To receive the free registration, participants will be expected to attend the whole day.

It will be a hybrid event with opportunities to learn and share your expertise and ideas for growing patient involvement and collaboration. The two themes of the day are Mental Health and Patient and Public Involvement in Research.

The deadline for registrations is Wednesday 17 May 2023
