Each year on 4 February, World Cancer Day empowers all of us across the world to show support, raise our collective voice, take personal action and press our governments to do more. 

Two weeks ago, Lung Cancer Europe joined the the 3-year ‘I Am and I Will’ campaign initiated by Union for International Cancer Control. ‘I Am and I Will’ is an empowering call-to-action urging for personal commitment and represents the power of individual action taken now to impact the future.

It is important for us to continue raising awareness about inequities regarding the access to lung cancer treatment and care in Europe. Moreover, we will continue to advocate for European policies that will lead to improvements in lung cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and care and to support national lung cancer patient groups in helping raise awareness for lung cancer among the European public.

I Am the voice of lung cancer patients, their families and survivors across Europe and I Will advocate for equal access to treatment and healthcare services for all European patients.
