Lung Cancer Europe 10th Report: Mental Health and Lung Cancer

This is an annual initiative led by Lung Cancer Europe, designed to raise awareness of the real-world challenges faced by people affected by lung cancer across Europe.

The 10th Report, titled “Mental Health and Lung Cancer”, is the largest global survey to date on the psychological and emotional impact of the disease.

Based on data from 2,204 participants across 31 countries, the report highlights the distress, fear, and isolation that often go unrecognised in cancer care – and how many people are left without the mental health support they need.

The survey was conducted online between 28 May and 6 July 2025, and included people living with lung cancer and their caregivers.

The goal of this report is to better understand the emotional and psychological needs of those affected, and to provide clear, practical recommendations for integrating mental health into cancer care.

You can download the full report, executive summary, infographics, and press release below. A recording of the launch event at ESMO 2025 in Berlin will be available soon.
