Lung Cancer Europe (LuCE) are seeking to recruit an experienced Administrator to support our internal and external operations. If you are an individual who wants to work with an ambitious organization that believes in its core purpose and a dynamic team to support the lung cancer community in Europe by driving targeted projects and activities to shape lung cancer policy decision making.

This role is part-time and will be remotely based working approximately 15 hours per week. If you are an individual who is motivated, engaged, flexible and enthusiastic then we would like to talk to you.

Lung Cancer Europe (LuCE) is a not-for-profit umbrella member led organization established in 2013.

Our vision is that all Europeans impacted by lung cancer will have equity in access to optimal care so that they have the best possible outcomes and quality of life.

Our mission is to represent the voice of Europeans impacted by lung cancer. We collaborate with members and other stakeholders to destigmatise the disease and ensure that those impactad by lung cancer get the care they need to achieve the best possible outcomes. We empower members to ensure strong and effective lung cancer patient advocacy across Europe.

The Role

The Administrator role will support the delivery of LuCE projects and activities as defined in our action plan to ensure delivery of LuCE strategic goals. This individual will be a valued contributor to our team, directly supporting a variety of administrative tasks and duties associated with the executive and project management functions within the organisation.

 Principle Duties and responsibilities:

 Administration

 Support the executive officer, project manager and LuCE board as required

  • Provide a range of support relating to administrative tasks as appropriate – scheduling meetings with internal, members and external stakeholders, preparation of agendas, communication of webinar recording, taking and distribution of meeting minutes, etc)
  • Organise and participate in operational meetings
  • Assist the executive officer and project manager with the management of project budgets
  • Support the executive officer in organising conference facilities, hotels, and other logistic requirements related to LuCE meetings as required
  • Create and manage contracts, invoices etc. including invoice generation and filing as required
  • Archive and management LuCE documentation
  • Support LuCE internal policy generation and documentation updates
  • From time to time, other ad hoc activities may be requested by the executive officer

 

Communication

  • To align and work within the LuCE communication strategy and policy

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Fluent English speaker with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Attention to detail with a strong ability to monitor and control project variables
  • Excellent computer skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • A strong team player with the ability to work self-directed as required
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount
  • Knowledge in healthcare environment desirable

 

Renumeration

Competitive remuneration, consistent with experience for the right candidate.  This is a part-time, fixed-term position with a contract term of one year including the potential for extension.
